Inspired by Renaissance Italy, the Grotto like base was created after a visit to the fantastical Giardino di Boboli in Florence. Its rusticated surface akin to those of Michelangelo’s in which mythical beasts and figures merge with the landscape. Also available in plaster.

Polished and lightly patinated bronze. Also available in plaster and antique silver plate.

Finishing & Customisation at Cox London

Originally sculpted in clay the piece was then moulded and cast into bronze by the lost wax process. A traditional form of casting used for thousands of years by sculptors and jewellers. When chased and assembled the bronze is then polished and lightly patinated.
