A cinematic portrait of Cox London's world

In 'The Alchemists', a poetic new short film, Cox London’s Co-founder and Creative Director Chris Cox collaborates with Artist Edward Rollitt and Director Matthieu Livingston to reimagine the studio through a fresh and compelling lens.
Shot entirely on 16mm film, the project offers a cinematic portrait of Cox London’s creative world, revealing a space where inspiration, tradition and craftsmanship converge. More than a simple documentation, 'The Alchemists' is a meditation on inspiration, process and transformation. The studio is presented not just as a place of design, but as a site of artistic alchemy, where raw materials are imbued with life, character and permanence through the hands of its makers.
Rollitt brings a conceptual, immersive vision that expands Cox London’s aesthetic into something both reflective and otherworldly, while Livingston’s intuitive, dreamlike direction captures the quiet poetry of the process. The result is a richly textured study of artistry and materiality.

The Alchemists is ultimately a quiet, considered study of creativity and materiality, allowing viewers to see the studio’s sculptures not merely as finished objects, but as embodiments of time, thought and tactile knowledge.
