The studio, founded by Christopher and Nicola Cox both with a background in sculpture, reflects their tastes and inspirations which range from 20th century sculptors all the way back to the Bronze Age. They guide the design and production of every piece, leading an in-house team of specialist artisans.

We are looking for a reliable and professional Sales Support to join our sales team. Our ideal candidate is goal-oriented and has a deep knowledge of customer service best practices. They need to be able to work in a fast-paced and varied environment, providing support to our Sales Managers and contribute to a high quality customer service and achieve sales targets.

The position is based between our London Belgravia showroom in the heart of the sought-after Pimlico Road Design District and our buzzing North London Design Studio.

  • Duties and Responsibilities Include
  • Check data accuracy in orders and invoices
  • Liaise with logistics department to ensure timely deliveries

Maintenance Technician

This position involves overseeing the company’s designs, workshops, studios, and showrooms, encompassing various trades such as property maintenance, decoration, and the installation and upkeep of stock and equipment. You will be responsible for conducting repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) both internally and externally across the company’s four locations, which include in-house metal workshops, a design studio, and the exclusive gallery. A proactive attitude is essential, along with the ability to remain composed under pressure, uphold professionalism, and exhibit diligence, all while showcasing a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Executing planned preventative maintenance across all company studios, galleries, workshops, and machinery, as well as internal and external premises, to ensure that the properties maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
  • Performing proactive inspections and addressing any necessary repairs, while overseeing and managing the operation of equipment, including inspections of emergency lighting and fire alarms.
  • Carrying out health and safety risk assessments in accordance with established safe procedures and relevant safety method statements.
  • Facilitating the relocation and installation of artwork, furniture, lighting, and materials to accommodate a demanding production and installation schedule.
  • Managing vehicle-related responsibilities, including the maintenance of company vehicles and executing delivery and collection tasks as needed.
  • Safely handling and transporting artwork, which includes wrapping, packing, and crating using suitable techniques and materials.

Logistics Art Handler Technician

Role: Logistics Art Handler Technician

This role requires a meticulous and skilled individual responsible for the careful packing, handling and transportation of high value and delicate artwork and furniture. You will therefore need to have practical skills for the building of protective support structures such as export crating and able to assist with the installation of such items in residential homes as well as show rooms.

This role will at times be client facing so you will need to be customer focused and able to communicate calmly & effectively.

You will be supporting a busy manufacturing and dispatch schedule. Previous experience from within the packaging and transporting of fine art, furniture or custom lighting is required as are excellent team working skills, integrity and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities Include

 

– Careful packing, labelling and condition reporting of client orders for UK or Export

– Building of wooden export quality crating for the safe transportation of delicate and heavy items

– Delivery and installation on site of furniture, lighting, and fine art objects

– Supporting the design and manufacturing team with all logistics and photography

– Monitoring stock and essential consumables required for the role

 

Knowledge and Experience

 

– Experienced packaging, removals, logistics and installation technician for export shipping of delicate lighting, furniture and/or fine art logistics

The Job

We are recruiting a Fabrication Technician to join Cox Production Team responsible for the manufacturing of Cox pieces. Each member of this team is expected to be adaptable and inventive, learning and developing the variety of processes and finishes as per the Cox London house style.

You will be expected to fabricate company products to the required standards within specification, in full and on time meeting the costed hours for fabrication.

This technical role is for the fabrication of high end interior products. You need to be and expert in your field with high level experience and knowledge of metal working and fabrication processes, predominantly in brass but also ferrous metals suitable for furniture & lighting manufacture.

We are looking for a reliable hardworking person with initiative, high standards and a professional outlook. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain our quality service provided to customers by upholding company standards, values and behaviours.

Duties and Responsibilities
Producing high quality furniture and lighting as per the specifications provided ensuring items are produced in full, on time and in spec

Maintain professional and technical knowledge continually improving your skills base

Maintains safe and clean work environment, upholding Company H&S policies

Application of technical processes such as welding tig, mig; silver soldering, soft soldering; metal fabrication in mainly in brass or steel; cutting and preparing materials for fabrication; fabrication of jigs; product assembly including involve the handling of glass, stone or wood; metal polishing; metal chasing.

Knowledge, Experience, Qualifications
Architectural & sculptural metalwork welding (ideally specialising in brass or bronze)

Experienced and/or expert, more than one skills area, coaching and guidance of other team members, high level skills and knowledge gained through training and experience – typically 10 years plus post training.

BA, MA or Qualified Apprenticeship in metalworking processes or similar

Foundry Technician

This technical role is for the casting of high-end interior products. You need to have some previous foundry experience utilising processes suitable for sculptural furniture & lighting manufacture. Each member of the Cox London technical production team is expected to have a variety of skills and be able to see a project through in their specialist field.

Your mission as a Foundry Technician is to perfect your skills and knowledge surrounding the bronze casting process and become adept at all processes across the department. Your goal is to produce high quality castings within the allotted time and to collaborate with your team and those in other departments across the company to ensure pieces are produced within specification, on time to meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Lost wax processes including mould making, sculpting, cold casting, wax pull, wax work, spruing, shell investment, bronze pouring and knock-out processes.
  • Reduce waste of materials, reporting shortages to the Team Leader, and ensuring efficiency of
  • Contribute to a happy, efficient, and co-operative production technical team, fostering a spirit of co- operation within and between departments and your
