The Job

We are recruiting for an experienced Sales Manager who is polished, professional, enthusiastic, collaborative and approachable. They need to be well informed regarding high-end interiors markets and able to provide an outstanding service to clients, exceeding all expectations. The candidate should have a strong background in high-end sales environments such as contemporary art and/or design, ideally selling furniture and lighting which requires a considered project-style approach.

Our clients are looking for quality, individuality and efficiency from our Sales Team in order to make decisions on purchasing, delivered via clear, knowledgeable and beautiful presentations of simplicity and elegance. The position is based in the London Belgravia showroom in the heart of the sought- after Pimlico Road Design District, with weekly visits to our North London workshop. You would work closely with the creative and manufacturing teams to sell quality pieces with artistic merit and longevity. We are looking for ambassadors for the company to champion our work and ensuring what we produce for them fits with the client’s goals.

Duties and Responsibilities Include 

  • – Lead generation and conversion of opportunities exceeding sales targets
  • – Negotiate and build positive relationships, creating lifetime clients for the company
  • – Produce and present client proposals
  • – End to end sales – post sale follow-up WIP and post-sale deliverables
  • – Maintain company data base following all systems and processes

As the ERP Administrator your role is to ensure the ERP system is kept up to date, with live data, at all times. You will need to be able to design views and pull reports to fully support the Production Team. You are responsible for all data being accurate. You will be responsible for system data across all sites.

Your mission is ensuring all stakeholders can access up to date information at any time, optimise the view of the data and to do so efficiently.

This role works with manufacturing teams as well as working as part of a multifunctional team, you must role model and instill the Cox London values and behaviors at all times.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for ensuring all technicians are accurately entering their timesheet data onto the SFDC.
  • Become the Production Emax ‘superuser’ and train others on the Production parts of Emax.
  • Run weekly reports for the Senior Production Manager.
  • Run any other reports required.
  • Optimise views on Emax for the Production Management Team.
  • Ensure all data is accurate and up to date.
  • Check timings and book all jobs in within 48 hours of completion.

CAD Engineer

As the CAD Engineer you will be responsible for supporting the Design Team in creating full product drawings, components, supplier drawings and Client proposals across our standard product range and custom and bespoke projects. In addition, you will be responsible for product development and improvements to our standard product range. Running regular meetings with production, identifying, and realising any issues with current design/manufacturing to maximise our production capabilities, guaranteeing exceptional quality and worth of investment for the company clients. You will work within the Design Team collaborating with the Production Team to ensure that manufacturing drawings are clear and fully translatable to the shop floor. You will oversee Vault and maintain a smooth running of data input to enable easy accessibility to released drawings by rest of the company.

We would expect you to use a variety of software to produce designs quickly and efficiently. During your time with Cox, you will receive training and support to help you further develop and fully understand the house style . You will be line managed by the Head of Design and Estimating and work with teams across Cox. You will be required to input and advise on the engineering of Cox London products, advising on technical aspects such as FOS and load bearing as well presenting workable solutions to improve products.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Create full drawing packages from the standard product range and develop bespoke designs or new products as directed by the Creative Director for our clients.
  • Oversee development of standard product drawings and components and ensure filed within Vault correctly, maintaining the company design database
  • Providing technical support to both the Senior CAD Designer and CAD technicians to ensure all drawings are to Cox standard.
  • Liaising and leading organised discussions between Production and Design team to ensure constant product development and improvements.
  • Checking approved prototypes against technical manufacturing drawings.
  • A comprehensive understanding of materials and processes utilized by the company and our suppliers is essential such as lighting manufacture and fabrication of metal furniture using materials such as glass, bronze, brass and steel and stone
  • Translate specifications and co-ordinating instructions into detailed accurate manufacture drawings for all pieces.

Studio Manager

As a Studio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Design and Estimating teams ensuring a productive and efficient work environment where creative projects can flourish. You will manage administrative tasks, coordinate schedules, and ensure that equipment and resources are well-maintained and ensuring that projects are completed on time. You will be confident in assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities to ensure project deadlines are met and client orders follow through the critical pathway to production.

Your role will manage the flow of correct information to production, ensuring smooth handovers of client orders and complex projects are seamlessly transitioned. You will have experience of creating comprehensive onboarding and internal guides that reflect the departments focus and assign tasks accordingly to maintain relevant documentation

As a line manager we would expect you to be an excellent communicator and be able to foster a positive and supportive work environment, providing guidance and support to team members as needed. Whilst this role is not a creative one, we would expect you to have experience of reading and understanding drawing documents and ensuring drawing packages are full and correct on release. Experience of CAD software is an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Track project and client orders timelines and milestones within Design and Estimating and present to Head of Design and Estimating weekly.
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve conflicts that may arise during quoting and design phase.

We are recruiting a Fabrication Technician to join Cox Production Team responsible for the manufacturing of Cox pieces. Each member of this team is expected to be adaptable and inventive, learning and developing the variety of processes and finishes as per the Cox London house style.

You will be expected to fabricate company products to the required standards within specification, in full and on time meeting the costed hours for fabrication.

This technical role is for the fabrication of high end interior products. You need to be and expert in your field with high level experience and knowledge of metal working and fabrication processes, predominantly in brass but also ferrous metals suitable for furniture & lighting manufacture.

We are looking for a reliable hardworking person with initiative, high standards and a professional outlook. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain our quality service provided to customers by upholding company standards, values and behaviours.

As a Patination, Finishing and Wiring Technician T3, you will be developing your understanding of metal finishing processes with a natural ability for practical manufacturing processes involved in the finishing of high-quality interior products such as furniture and lighting. Each member of the technical finishing team is expected to be adaptable and inventive, learning and developing the variety of processes and finishes as per the Cox London house style.

You will be expected to work within the tasks provided as per the costs applied to each individual job brief. To be successful in this role, you will need to be self-motivated towards learning new techniques for custom finishes and bespoke orders. Each project assigned to you will be required to be finished within a reasonable time frame and within specification, meeting with the client’s needs and the company’s high standards. Your goal is to maintain a quality service provided to customers by upholding company standards, values, and behaviours.

This role requires a meticulous and skilled individual responsible for the careful packing, handling and transportation of high value and delicate artwork and furniture. You will therefore need to have practical skills for the building of protective support structures such as export crating and able to assist with the installation of such items in residential homes as well as show rooms.

This role will at times be client facing so you will need to be customer focused and able to communicate calmly & effectively.

You will be supporting a busy manufacturing and dispatch schedule. Previous experience from within the packaging and transporting of fine art, furniture or custom lighting is required as are excellent team working skills, integrity and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Careful packing, labelling and condition reporting of client orders for UK or Export
  • Building of wooden export quality crating for the safe transportation of delicate and heavy items
  • Delivery and installation on site of furniture, lighting, and fine art objects

This technical role is for the casting of high-end interior products. You need to have some previous foundry experience utilising processes suitable for sculptural furniture & lighting manufacture. Each member of the Cox London technical production team is expected to have a variety of skills and be able to see a project through in their specialist field.

Your mission as a Foundry Technician is to perfect your skills and knowledge surrounding the bronze casting and bronze chasing process and become adept at all processes across the department. Your goal is to produce high quality castings within the allotted time and to collaborate with your team and those in other departments across the company to ensure pieces are produced within specification, on time to meet with client expectations.

Qualifications (desirable)

  • BA, MA, or Qualified Apprenticeship in metalworking processes or similar
