The Story
These commanding sconces were inspired by the medieval stone carving tradition and the associated narrative of “Green Man”. Rendered with both authority and exuberance, the gaping cast-bronze mask is of Renaissance-sophistication, dramatically exhaling a hazy profusion of intricate ironwork, flora. The polychrome tangle of foliage supports 4 bronze sconces, which can be lit by wax-candle or elegantly electrified for destinations worldwide (UL included).
The drama of additional tendrils and flora can be extended and configured to wrap an entire room. For site specific projects, innumerable sconces can be composed to gently light intimate or more substantial spaces.
