The Story
A forged gilt iron coffee table of restrained design, owing its origin in part to the Anglo-Japanese furniture championed by the likes of Edward Godwin, introducing modern design principles and a fresh aesthetic to furniture making in the late 19th century. The table's iron-work structure showcases a continuous forged bark pattern, elegant drop-forged feet, and inset book shelf. The corners have been thoughtfully rounded for both aesthetic impact and practicality, making it easier to navigate your living space. Finished in a warm lacquered gold leaf and gently distressed, this table serves as a timeless anchor to almost any design scheme.
