The Role

The Warehouse Operative and Driver role is essential in maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting stock logistics across the company. This position is responsible for accurately managing inventory systems like Emax, handling incoming and outgoing deliveries, and ensuring stock is safely and properly stored with correct labelling. Key tasks include preparing and completing works orders, assisting with stock counts, and reporting shortages to the Procurement team. Additionally, this role involves delivering and collecting bespoke stock orders using the company vehicle and operating a forklift as needed. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to Health and Safety guidelines and warehouse cleanliness standards is also crucial to this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Emax and other warehouse systems are managed and updated.
  • Support Warehouse Manager and deputise in their absence where necessary.
  • Ensure all incoming deliveries are dealt with efficiently and accurately recorded.
  • Ensure Works Order picking lists are completed accurately and picked jobs are clearly labelled and stored on shelves and / or delivered to Technicians and updated on Emax.
  • Ensure Works Order deviations are accurately recorded on Emax.
  • Ensure outgoing packages are prepared for collection or delivery.
  • Ensure stock is stored safely with correct identification and labelling.
  • Ensure requested stock counts and cycle counts are carried out as and when required.
  • Ensure all stock shortages are reported to the Procurement team for investigation.
  • Ensure consumable cupboards in other units are audited and replenished every week and paperwork is accurately completed and filed.
  • Ensure Warehouse consumables stock is reviewed and shortages communicated to the Consumables buyer. 
  • Delivering and collecting bespoke stock orders in the company vehicle.
  • Forklift driving duties as required.
  • Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are followed.
  • Ensure the warehouse is always kept tidy and cleaning schedules are adhered to

Requirements (essential)

  • Clean and Valid Driving License (no convictions)
