The Role
This role is a dynamic, hands-on position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse team and ensuring efficient management of inventory, deliveries, and stock movements. This role includes managing team leave and reviews in coordination with the Procurement Manager and working closely with other departments to facilitate accurate order fulfilment and stock tracking. You will maintain and update key systems, including Emax, to ensure seamless workflow and accurate record-keeping. Additional responsibilities include overseeing incoming and outgoing shipments, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring safe storage practices. This role is integral to supporting warehouse productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily and routine tasks to warehouse team.
- Communicate with other departments regarding deliveries, works order pick lists, stock orders.
- Coordinate movements of picked stock and finished goods where required.
- Ensure Emax and other warehouse systems are managed and updated.
- Support Procurement Manager and deputise in their absence where necessary.
- Ensure all incoming deliveries are dealt with efficiently and accurately recorded.
- Ensure Works Order picking lists are completed accurately and picked jobs are clearly labelled and stored on shelves and / or delivered to Technicians and updated on Emax.
- Ensure Works Order deviations are accurately recorded on Emax.
- Ensure outgoing packages are prepared for collection or delivery.
- Ensure stock is stored safely with correct identification and labelling.
- Ensure requested stock counts and cycle counts are carried out as and when required.
- Ensure all stock shortages are reported to the Procurement team for investigation.
- Ensure consumable cupboards in other units are audited and replenished every week and paperwork is accurately completed and filed.
- Ensure Warehouse consumables stock is reviewed and shortages communicated to the Consumables buyer.
- Ensure Health and Safety guidelines are followed.
- Ensure the warehouse is always kept tidy and cleaning schedules are adhered to.
