This position involves overseeing the company's designs, workshops, studios, and showrooms, encompassing various trades such as property maintenance, decoration, and the installation and upkeep of stock and equipment. You will be responsible for conducting repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) both internally and externally across the company's four locations, which include in-house metal workshops, a design studio, and the exclusive gallery. A proactive attitude is essential, along with the ability to remain composed under pressure, uphold professionalism, and exhibit diligence, all while showcasing a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Executing planned preventative maintenance across all company studios, galleries, workshops, and machinery, as well as internal and external premises, to ensure that the properties maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.
  • Performing proactive inspections and addressing any necessary repairs, while overseeing and managing the operation of equipment, including inspections of emergency lighting and fire alarms.
  • Carrying out health and safety risk assessments in accordance with established safe procedures and relevant safety method statements.
  • Facilitating the relocation and installation of artwork, furniture, lighting, and materials to accommodate a demanding production and installation schedule.
  • Managing vehicle-related responsibilities, including the maintenance of company vehicles and executing delivery and collection tasks as needed.
  • Safely handling and transporting artwork, which includes wrapping, packing, and crating using suitable techniques and materials.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Cross trade skills in building & maintenance including carpentry, plumbing and decoration.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in electrical work.
  • Previous working experience in maintenance within the hotel or commercial industry.
  • Handyman, plumbing, painting and carpentry experience.
