About Us
We are an art-forward studio crafting furniture, lighting and objects inspired by the nature within.
At Cox London, we are artists, storytellers, and transformers driven by a shared reverence for beauty and nature. Our perspective begins with an appreciation and deep respect for material intelligence followed by the metamorphic power of the creative process. We champion a holistic approach that honours tradition while embracing innovation, weaving together elements of history, nature, and contemporary design to create immersive, meaningful, and thought-provoking pieces.
By nurturing creativity, fostering curiosity, and cultivating empathy, we seek to inspire a future where artistry enriches lives, always pushing the confines of what’s perceived to be possible further and further.
Our Story
Cox London offers a return to craft where artists’ hands, material knowledge and natural inspiration all play intrinsic roles in the pieces we make.
We are committed to foster a culture of excellence in craftsmanship and design. Our vision is to be the leading employer in the UK craft industry by creating a School of Applied Arts that offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for talent passionate about this field.
These two apprenticeships are three-year, full-time placements where you earn as you learn.
In your foundation year, you will get a 360-degree view of Cox London and Guild Bespoke Metalworks, with hands-on training from warehouse and production to commercial sales and finance, alongside learning ancient crafts. You will also benefit from a Level 3 Diploma in Craft Skills for Creative Industries, awarded by City & Guilds. At the end of the first year, you will be assessed in specialist areas (Fabrication, Foundry, Patination and Wiring) and choose one area to specialise in during years two and three. Combining on-the-job, hands-on training (4 days/week) with studying (1 day/week), you will engage with mentors, managers, and a close-knit community daily, who will support your journey and provide the guidance and insight you need to thrive.
