Designed and distilled to stir the soul a little

Cox London’s journey began in the mid-1990s when sculptors Christopher and Nicola Cox bonded over their shared compulsion to make sculpture and their mutual fascination for the decorative arts. In 2004, the pair set up their first formal studio and have been creating in tandem ever since as partners in art, life, and business. Formalised in 2005, Cox London was founded upon a shared vision of slow design and nature-led forms.

Today, Christopher and Nicola lead an ever-growing team of skilled and emerging artists, engineers, designers, and finishing experts in their London workshop, where each bespoke piece is mindfully forged.

With resilience, growth, and a commitment to excellence and staying curious, Cox London marries materiality and time-honoured techniques to create objects of rarefied beauty and intrigue. Molten bronze, hand-forged iron, and kiln-formed glass are all respected yet reimagined into new silhouettes and sensibilities.

Cox London honours the past while illuminating the path ahead, crafting a legacy of artistry that stands the test of time. Alongside its ever-evolving body of work, the studio welcomes bespoke commissions and site-specific installations, working closely with collectors, designers, and architects to bring singular concepts to life.

At our core, Cox London embraces a philosophy centred around the nature within.

It’s a credo that celebrates an unwavering dedication to forming collectible designs that resonate with meaning.

We believe in the profound connection between art and the human experience.

Placing emphasis on materiality and fabrication, each of our pieces is made individually to order by highly skilled craftspeople and artists in our London studio, guided by a reverence for the purity and provenance of materials. Think iron, bronze, and brass, natural stone, rich woods, and textiles with an honest quality. Our finishes are a tapestry of colour veiled in a soft gauze of time.
